Math Update!

Please ensure that your child is studying facts a few minutes each night. We are now into the harder multiplication facts and mastery of the easier ones is expected. X-tra Math is great for mastery of the addition and subtraction facts and then goes to multiplication!

SCIENCE UPDATE!

We will be studying Georgia habitats for the next several weeks. There is much to learn about the different regions and their plants and animals. Ask your child to bring home his or her science book to share all that we are learning!

We need Pringles cans to make multiplication study gadgets!!!

Purple Horses Eat Oranges Constantly!

To understand the scientific method of Problem, Hypothesis, Experiment, Observations, and Conclusions we did a quick experiment. We put baking soda in water and added raisins.  Then we predicted (hypothesized) what the raisins would do when the "magic potion" (vinegar) was added.  We observed the raisins "DANCING" up and down!  We concluded that they did this because the soda and vinegar create bubbles, the bubbles lift the raisins up, when the bubbles pop, the raisins go back down again!!!   (Be patient while video loads, please!)
